1. Name and current date – Jody Whitehead
2. Date of Birth – 6th August 1972
3. Place of Birth – Newcastle, NSW
4. Current Location - Kingsgrove, NSW
5. Who do you play cricket for – Randwick Petersham
6. In what capacity – batsman / net bowler
7. Best Cricket feats – Having had the opportunity to have played cricket in so many different places
8. Greatest Cricket moment / memory – my two most treasured memories would be being given my first ever cricket bat (it was a Gray Nic Century) and playing in the driveway at home with dad as a youngster
9. Tell us little about your cricket history – began playing aged 7 in Newcastle and started playing grade when I was 15 then moved to Sydney in 2005 to work at Kingsgrove and now play for Randwick Petersham. Also played 5 seasons in Somerset, England and also for Darwin in the Northern Territory.
10. Tell us a little about the cricket competitions you play in – Sydney Grade Competition
11. Favorite Teams – all the clubs I have played with
12. Favorite Players – Allan Border and David Boon of their eras and of the current players Warney, Brian Lara, Damien Martyn, Matthew Hayden & Justin Langer
13. Favorite Commentator – I like to listen to the radio commentary because without the aid of pictures they are much more descriptive of what’s happening and always have some good stories to tell
14. Favorite Cricketing Publication - Kingsgrove Catalogue (it’s my job to know it off by heart)
15. Favorite Cricketing Website – Baggy Green keeps me up to date with what is happening
16. Favorite Cricketing Brand – I don’t have a particular favorite but Gray Nicolls was my first bat and that is what gear I have used pretty much ever since and has always been good quality and served me well
17. Tell us about the best bat you've ever had – I’ve had some good bats over the years from Gray Nicolls, Slazenger and also some Hunts bats when I was in England. Probably the best bat I’ve had would be the bat I have at the moment which was custom made for me by Gray Nicolls master bat maker Stuart Kranzbuhler. I’ve had plenty of offers from people to buy it off me but I would never give it up.
18. What is your most treasured cricketing item – A few pieces of memorabilia - bats signed by Lara and Bradman
19. What ideas would you propose to improve the game of cricket – Being a bit of a traditionalist the on field behavior of some players would be one thing that is getting worse and that should be improved
20. Rate the following three -
Test - No.1
One Dayers - Too many
Twenty20 – Good idea if kept to limit
21. What are your thoughts on the sledging issue – I don’t think it’s part of the game but saying that it when it happens you have to make sure it doesn’t affect you
22. Who do you rate as being the best in the last 20 years -
Team - The current Australian team against the West Indies team of the 80’s would be a good contest Batsman – Brian Lara
Bowler – Shane Warne
WK – Ian Healy
Allrounder – Wasim Akram but if you include WK / batsmen then Gilchrist
Captain – Mark Taylor
23. Who do you rate as being the greatest cricketer of all time – Don Bradman
23b. That you have played with – Adam Gilchrist
23c. That you have played against – Ricky Ponting
24. Have you ever had professional cricket coaching - Only last season from Hamish in our Academy nets during our lunchtime
25. What is the best tip you've had or given – You’re never to young to learn

27. Best Cricket Video you've seen – Bradman 87 not out is pretty good listening to the great man speak and seeing some of the film of him batting
28. Best Cricket Book you've read – I have a huge collection of cricket books and I really enjoy reading about different cricketers’ experiences and their life in the game so I don’t have a favourite because they all offer something different.

30. Best / Nicest cricketer you've met - I’ve been so lucky to have met heaps of diverse and interesting people from all over the world from playing cricket and also working at Kingsgrove it would be had to pick just one
31. What other interests do you have outside of cricket – Anything to do with the beach and surf
How did you come across Kingsgrove Sports Centre - Like every kid I couldn’t wait for the new season cricket catalogue to arrive in the post and then I was offered a job here by Harry
