9. Tell us little about your cricket history - 1976 - With 8 years started playing for Pennant Hills Juniors Cricket Club 1981/82- A new D Grade level was started in the Shires competition in Sydney under the captaincy of the legendary John Plant. He led a teenage boys side into the final rounds, in their first season in shires cricket, and well above all expectations. 1982-1989 - Played for Pennant Hills Cricket Club (Grade A - D levels) 1987-89 - represented Pennant Hills also in U 24's Shires One Day Competition. 1983-84 - captain of Pennant Hills High School Cricket team 1989 - end of 1989 permanent move to Switzerland and semi retirement from Cricket. 1991-2000 - played baseball for Zürich in the Swiss A Grade. 1992-1995 - selected for the Swiss National Baseball team (centre fîelder) 2001-2003 - return to cricket and playing for the Zürich Royal (Lankans) Crickit Club in Switzerland

17. Tell us a little about the cricket competition/s you play in - The competition is a one day competition of 40 overs each played out between May and September. The games are played on mats with official swiss umpires. Since the teams are made up of players from all cricketing nations, the style of cricket is very fast and very competitive. There is not only team pride but also national pride at stake.
18. What ideas would you propose to improve the game of cricket - think the game of cricket has been constantly improved over the years and positively for that matter,so I will leave it at that.
19. What are your thoughts on the sledging issue - Sledging is unfortunately in all forms of team sports, not just cricket. When you get affended by it, then you should take up lawn bowls. What I find not good, is when the strong cricketing nation finds it necessary to sledge a significantly weaker team on the field when suddenly the going gets tough.
20. Who do you rate as being the best in the last 20 years - Batsman - Steve Waugh
Bowler - Glen McGrath
WK - Adam Gilchrist
Allrounder - Steve Waugh
Captain - Alan Border
21. Have you ever had professional cricket coaching - No
22. What is the best tip you've had or given - Believe in yourself, play as a team player and not for the averages
23. What is your most treasured cricketing item - my box.
24. What other interests do you have outside of cricket - Anything to keep me out of trouble.
25. How did you come across Kingsgrove Sports Centre - I came across Kingsgrove Sports Centre, talking to a Sri Lankan man by the name of Derick, who was responsible for me returning to play cricket in a country, that is more renowned for it's snow and chocolates. When i need gear then there is only one address for me, even if i have to pay for the costly postage. There is no substitute for the quality of Australian cricket equipment anywhere in the world. Cricket is not a game it is a religion! It has to be. In no other sport would you stand out on a cricket field for a whole day in the blazing sun, get your backside walloped and then turn up the next day as if nothing had happened. You can take the boy/girl out of cricket, but not the cricket out of the boy/girl.
