5. Who do / did you play cricket for - Cowbridge C.C. Plus touring / invitation cricket for, Cardiff Wanderers, Glamorgan Nomads and Cardiff Eagles.
6. In what capacity – Opening Batsman, Off Spin Bowler
7. Best Cricket feats – Cowbridge C.C. Player of the Year 2004, topping the Cowbridge batting averages in 2004 & 2005.
8. Greatest Cricket moment / memory – Winning the Under 15 National Club Championship with Saint Fagans C.C. in 1998 [1,500 junior clubs from all parts of Great Britain entered the ECB / Sun life sponsored competition]. Opening the batting for a Welsh University Team this season, that beat the English Universities side, their first defeat in five years.
9. Tell us little about your cricket history – I started playing cricket at the age of nine for my local club Saint Fagans C.C. By the time I was ten I was playing in the under 11’s side and the South Glamorgan under 11’s County representative team. I played my first senior game for Saint Fagans fifth XI, in the third division of the Western League at the age of twelve. In October 1994 I was selected to attend the MCC School of Merit at Lord’s, this I did for the next seven years. From 1993 to 2001 I played junior cricket for Saint Fagans C.C., South Glamorgan and from the age of seventeen to nineteen I was member of the Glamorgan C.C.C. Youth Squad. During this time I progresses through the senior teams at Saint Fagans C.C. until by 1999 I was a regular in the 1st team. Since 2002 I have represented my university [UWIC] becoming vice captain in 2004 and captain in 2005. During the same period I have represented the Welsh Universities Cricket Association in the Home Nations Championship.
10. 17. Tell us a little about the cricket competition/s you play in – I now play for Cowbridge C.C, 1st XI since moving from Saint Fagans C.C. for the start of the 2004 season. The club field’s three teams on a Saturday, the 1st XI play in the first division of the South Wales Cricket Association [www.swca.co.uk] reported to be the oldest league in South Wales. A number of the clubs in division I, have ex and current professional cricketers playing for their 1st teams.
During the past four years I have represented my university, The University of Wales Institute Cardiff [UWIC]. During this period UWIC reached the 2004 final and semi-final respectively of the BUSA [British Universities Sports Association] Championship.
In addition I have also represented the Welsh Universities Cricket Association in the Home Nations Championship for the past three years.

Tell us about the best bat you've ever had – So far it has to be a Gunn and Moore, Autograph Original [Academy size] my first GM bat, I scored over a 1,000 runs with it during the season, including my first ever century; 114 not out against West Glamorgan under 14’s archrivals throughout my junior representative cricket career.
18. What is your most treasured cricketing item – Welsh Universities cap, Cricket Board of Wales cap, Cardiff Wanderers cap, and my ECB under 15 National Championship Medal.

24. Have you ever had professional cricket coaching - Mr. Alan Jones ex-Glamorgan opening batsman was my first professional coach. Throughout my junior cricket career I received coaching from numerous Glamorgan C.C.C. players such as Steve James and Steve Watkin. During my time at the MCC School of Merit I was coached by a number of ex-international players such as Geoff Howarth, Desmond Haynes, Alex Stewart, Ian Salisbury, Colin Bland and the MCC Head Coach Clive Radley.I also learned a lot from Balmain Tigers captain and NSW batsman Greg Hayne, during his two seasons as Saint Fagans C.C’s overseas player.

31. What other interests do you have outside of cricket – During the winter I play football [soccer] for my local team, Fairwater Rebels. The team plays in the 2nd Division of the Cardiff and District League. Last season we gained promotion and won the G.D. Roberts Cup. When I’m not playing football I follow Cardiff City A.F.C. home and away. I am also interested in motor sport, particularly Rallying.
