Pink Days for McGrath Foundation
On the third day of each coaching clinic we run a "PINK" Day to help raise funds for the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation as many of you know was set up to honour Jane McGrath and her battle and subsequent efforts to help and raise awareness of Breast Cancer in Australia. Jane McGrath was the wife of legendary Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath.
We encourage all School Holiday students at Kingsgrove Clinics to wear as much Pink as possible on each 3rd day of the clinics to help teach them a few valuable lessons and generally spread the message of the McGraths foundation that "together we can make a difference.
Our fundraising efforts with the students began during the January 2010 School Holiday Clinics and to their credit we managed to raise an enviable $600.00. Below are photo's and correspondence back from the McGrath Foundation.
On behalf of everyone at Kingsgrove Cricket Academy I would like to thank all the kids, their parents and in particular, Head Coach, Barry Davison for his marvellous efforts in thinking up and organising such a great concept.
