Matt Morgan is a young coach currently enjoying his second season at Kingsgrove. He played in the Sutherland Shire for Illawong his whole career through the junior ranks to being a former member of the Sutherland District grade club. The club had some great people on board including Current State and Test player Phil Jaques, record wicket taker Glenn McGrath, former Australian Cricket Team Fitness Trainer Jock Campbell and former Test Wicket Keeper / Coach Steve Rixon. He had played Grade cricket for 5 seasons, 1 season in each grade before making the move to Sydney University.

• Level Two coach with Cricket Australia Accreditation.

• 2009 Professional for Ormskirk CC in the United Kingdom, in the Business Assistance Liverpool and Districts Premier League running one on one and group cricket coaching

PLAYING PROFILE

• Previously member of Cricket NSW u'15, u'17 and u'19 Squads

• Currently holds Austalian record for dismissals in an u'17 championship (17ct and 5st) in the 7 game tournament, equalling the long-standing national record

• Played in England in 2009 for Ormskirk CC, in the Business Assistance Liverpool and Districts Premier League scoring 764 runs @ avg 48

• Current First Grade Wicket Keeper / Batsman with Sydney University - played, and are currently playing alongside the likes of Stuart MacGill, Stuart Clarke, Matthew Phelps, Mark Cameron, Greg Matthews, Greg Mail and Ed Cowan

• Other honours include - U14 NSW District Cricket Assn Moore Shield Player of the Year 2003/2004, U14 / U15 / U 16 Cricket NSW Emerging Blues, NSW Schoolboys Carbine Cup team who played Queensland Schoolboys at the SCG, Sutherland District Cricket Club 4th Grade Sydney Grade Competition, Leading wicket keeper with most dismissals, Sutherland District Cricket Club 3rd Grade record for most dismissals in a season (34), Sutherland District Cricket Club 3rd Grade Premiers.
