Kingsport Players On Fire for NSW 2nd XI
Last year we reported on St George District Cricket Clubs successful title defence in the Sydney Grade Competition. Kingsgrove Sports Centre have been a major sponsor of St George for many a proud year and within that team we were just as proud to be sponsoring three of its up and coming players, Steve Cazzulino, Philip Wells and Trent Copeland.
All three players are still using our Kingsport Zone equipment with St George and have enjoyed outstanding success this season culminating in their selections with the New South Wales 2nd XI teams.
In 11 Grades Games this season so far, Steve Cazzulino, whom has been a student at our Cricket Academy for coming up to 10 years, has scored 550 runs @ 61 per innings including two centuries. After gaining selection in the NSW 2nd XI he scored 110 in Victoria and today was dismissed for 57 in his second game.
Trent Copeland is a bowler on the rise to bigger things. After securing over 60 First Grade wickets last season he has already amassed 46 scalps this season. In the same 2nd XI game in Victoria he was NSW's best and most successful bowler and is also currently playing in the 2nd XI game at Hurstville Oval.
Philip Wells has also enjoy success in recent times with his last two grades innings yielding him matching winning scores of 109 and 51 not out as well as 3-37 in the last game. Also playing for the NSW 2nd XI in both games Philip has starred with both bat and ball.
Let's hope that all three guys can go on to bigger and better things in the near future with of course with the help of their beloved Kingsport Zone Equipment.
